- Amber Snails can breathe both through their skin and a specialized lung, allowing them to survive in fluctuating water conditions.
- Amber Snails have semi-transparent shells that can appear golden or amber in sunlight. Their light shell makes them less visible to predators among wetland plants. Some species of amber snails are important intermediate hosts for parasitic flatworms.
