- Despite living in icy environments with little vegetation, Arctic Hares can dig through snow to find woody plants, mosses, and lichens to eat.
- Arctic Hares can run up to 60 km/h to evade predators. Unlike many hares, they often gather in groups for warmth and protection during the winter. Their fur changes from white in winter to grayish-brown in summer, aiding in seasonal camouflage.
