- Unlike many snakes, the Asian Vine Snake has horizontal pupils, which help it gauge distances precisely when hunting among the branches.
- Asian Vine Snakes can flatten their bodies to appear larger when threatened. Their binocular vision gives them excellent depth perception for hunting. They are capable of striking at prey with great accuracy thanks to their keen eyesight and stealthy movements.
