- The silk produced by Atlas Moth caterpillars is used in some parts of India to make a durable, natural fabric called 'fagara silk.'
- Atlas Moths have the largest wing surface area of any moth or butterfly in the world. Their wing tips mimic snake heads, which helps deter predators. Adults do not eat and live only long enough to mate and lay eggs.
