- Despite its deadly venom, the banded krait is so docile that it often does not bite even when handled.
- The banded kraitβs striking color pattern is an example of aposematism, warning predators of its toxicity. It prefers to feed on other snakes, including venomous species, and is immune to the venom of many of its prey. Unlike many other kraits, it is most active at night and is rarely seen during the day.
