- The Bedlington Terrier was originally bred to hunt rats and other vermin in mines and is one of the few terrier breeds with a 'hare foot' shape rather than the typical 'cat foot.'
- Bedlington Terriers are often described as looking like little lambs due to their curly, pale coat. Despite their gentle appearance, they are surprisingly fast and were once raced in competitions. The breed is also known for being hypoallergenic, making it a good choice for allergy sufferers.
