Did you know?
- A Bee Hummingbird’s egg is about the size of a coffee bean and is one of the smallest of any bird species.
- Its nest is built of cobweb, lichen and bark, and the spider silk allows the cup to stretch as the chicks grow. A single bee hummingbird can visit well over a thousand flowers in a day, and it is a significant pollinator of a suite of Cuban plants.
