- Despite their intimidating appearance, there are no confirmed fatal attacks on humans by Blacktip Reef Sharks.
- Blacktip Reef Sharks are known to leap out of the water when excited or feeding. They are highly social and often seen in small groups patrolling reef flats. Juveniles often use mangroves and shallow lagoons as nursery grounds for protection from predators.
