- Blue-footed Boobies use their colorful feet in elaborate mating dances to attract partners. Both males and females share incubation duties by warming their eggs with their feet. Their name 'booby' comes from the Spanish word 'bobo,' meaning 'fool,' due to their clumsy movements on land.
