Did you know?
- The Eastern or mountain bongo (T. e. isaaci) is one of the rarest large mammals in Africa, with fewer than 100 individuals left in the wild.
- Bongos are the only tragelaphid antelope where both males and females have horns. Their distinctive vertical white stripes help them blend into the dappled light of the forest. Bongos are known for their elusive nature and will often freeze or flee silently when threatened.
