- Despite their hunting heritage, Borzois are known for being surprisingly quiet and rarely bark.
- Borzois can reach speeds up to 35 miles per hour, making them one of the fastest dog breeds. Their name comes from the old Russian word 'borzyi,' meaning 'swift.' Historically, they were favored by Russian aristocracy and featured in many royal hunts.
