Did you know?
- A single Bumblebee Bat can fit comfortably on the tip of a human finger due to its incredibly small size.
- Individual roosting bats sit well apart from each other on the cave ceiling rather than clustering, unusual for a bat. Its total known world range is a small karst region straddling one river drainage, which makes it acutely vulnerable to cave disturbance, limestone quarrying and tourism. A bumblebee bat can perch on a human fingertip and has been found roosting in caves alongside far larger bat species without interacting with them.
