Did you know?
- Despite being widespread across South America, Bush Dogs are so elusive that they were first described from fossil remains before living individuals were observed.
- Bush Dogs have partially webbed toes that make them excellent swimmers and allow them to cross rivers and streams with ease. They communicate with a variety of vocalizations, including whistles and high-pitched barks. Unlike most other wild canids, Bush Dogs hunt cooperatively in packs, enabling them to catch prey much larger than themselves.
