- Capybaras are so tolerant and friendly that many other animals, including birds and monkeys, are often seen sitting on their backs in the wild.
- Capybaras are highly social and can live in groups of up to 100 individuals during the dry season. They can sleep in water, keeping only their noses above the surface to breathe. Capybaras communicate with a variety of vocalizations, including whistles, barks, and purrs.
