The breed’s name comes from King Charles II of England, who was so devoted to his spaniels that he reportedly allowed them to roam the royal court freely—even in Parliament.
Cavaliers are highly adaptable and can thrive in both city apartments and country homes. Their gentle temperament and loving nature make them popular therapy dogs. The breed comes in four distinct color patterns: Blenheim, Tricolor, Ruby, and Black & Tan.
