- A clouded leopard's ankles can rotate backwards, allowing it to climb head-first down trees and hang upside down from branches.
- It has the longest canines relative to skull size of any living cat, and can open its jaws almost 90 degrees. Its hind ankles rotate backwards, so it can climb down a tree headfirst and hang upside down beneath a branch. It is not actually a leopard — it sits on its own branch of the cat family, millions of years from the others. It is so secretive that most of what we know comes from camera traps.
