- Despite their vibrant colors and noisy calls, Collared Aracaris are often hard to spot among the dense foliage of the rainforest.
- Collared Aracaris are known to sleep in groups, sometimes cramming up to seven birds into a single tree cavity. Their large bills, though seemingly cumbersome, are surprisingly light and help them reach fruit on slender branches. Unlike many toucans, they are often seen in groups rather than pairs.
