- Unlike many frogs, the Common Parsley Frog's breeding season can vary greatly, sometimes occurring in both autumn and spring within the same population.
- The Common Parsley Frog can breed twice a year, a rare trait among European amphibians. Its green, parsley-like spots provide excellent camouflage amongst vegetation. Tadpoles of this species may overwinter in water, taking several months to metamorphose.
