- Unlike most antelopes, dibatags almost never drink water, relying entirely on the moisture from leaves and shoots.
- Dibatags are sometimes called 'Clark's gazelle' but are not true gazelles. They can stand on their hind legs to reach high branches, similar to gerenuks. Their name 'dibatag' means 'long tail' in Somali, which refers to their distinctly long, tufted tail.
