- Unlike most spiders, the Diving Bell Spider hunts aquatic invertebrates and even small fish underwater using its air-filled web as a home base.
- The Diving Bell Spider breathes underwater by trapping air in its silk web. It is the only spider that spends its entire lifecycle submerged. Females are usually larger and build bigger bells than males.
