- Unlike most frogs, Dwarf African Clawed Frogs lack tongues and use their tiny, clawed forelimbs to help stuff food into their mouths.
- Dwarf African Clawed Frogs are entirely aquatic and rarely leave the water. They use their sensitive fingers to detect vibrations and find food in murky environments. These frogs can breathe through their skin as well as with lungs, surfacing regularly for air.
