- European Lobsters can live for decades and may not reach sexual maturity until they are over 6 years old.
- European Lobsters can regenerate lost limbs, including their powerful claws. Their shells contain a pigment that turns bright red only when cooked, similar to American lobsters. They communicate with one another by urinating from openings located near their eyes.
