- Despite their small size and delicate appearance, Eyelash Vipers can deliver a venomous bite that is potentially dangerous to humans.
- The Eyelash Viper is famous for its 'eyelash' scales, which may help break up its outline among leaves. It is also one of the few snake species that frequently exhibit vibrant, polymorphic colorations in the wild. Females give birth to live young, a trait known as viviparity.
