Chaetodon capistratus

Did you know?
- Despite their delicate appearance, Foureye Butterflyfish are highly territorial and will vigorously defend their chosen patch of reef from intruders.
- The eyespot on its tail helps divert predator attacks away from its head. Foureye Butterflyfish are among the few fish species that form long-term monogamous pairs. Their ability to quickly maneuver through tight spaces in coral reefs makes them difficult targets for larger predators.
