- Despite their fierce display, frilled dragons are harmless to humans and will almost always choose to flee rather than fight.
- The frilled dragon’s iconic neck frill is supported by long cartilage spines and is brightly colored on the inside. When not threatened, the frill lies flat against the body. These lizards are also capable of running upright on their hind legs, similar to small dinosaurs.
