- Despite their dazzling appearance, Golden Geckos are rarely seen in the wild due to their secretive, nocturnal habits.
- Golden Geckos can drop their tails as a defense mechanism, which later regrow. Males are generally larger and more brightly colored than females. Their toe pads allow them to climb smooth, vertical surfaces, even glass.
