- Golden Pheasants have been introduced into the wild in several countries, including the United Kingdom, where small feral populations have become established.
- Male golden pheasants perform elaborate courtship displays, fanning their cape-like neck feathers to impress females. Despite their bright colors, these birds can be surprisingly difficult to spot in dense undergrowth. They are capable of running swiftly and prefer to escape predators by running rather than flying.
