- Despite being the largest frogs on Earth, Goliath Frog tadpoles are only about 1 cm long when they hatch.
- The Goliath Frog can move stones weighing over 2 kg to build nests for its eggs. It lacks vocal sacs, so it does not croak like most other frogs. Tadpoles of this species are surprisingly small compared to the adult size.
