- Goliath tigerfish can grow over 1.5 meters (5 feet) long, making them the largest species of tigerfish. They possess interlocking, dagger-like teeth that can reach up to 5 cm (2 inches) in length. Local legends and myths often depict them as fearsome river monsters.
