- Despite being called 'gray,' this frog can change its color to green or brown depending on its environment for camouflage.
- Gray Tree Frogs can survive being frozen during winter by producing glycerol, which acts as a natural antifreeze. They have large, sticky toe pads that allow them to climb vertical surfaces with ease. Their calls can be heard over long distances, especially after rain.
