- The Great Horned Owl is one of the only animals known to regularly prey upon skunks, thanks to its extremely limited sense of smell.
- Great Horned Owls can rotate their heads up to 270 degrees and have a grip strength powerful enough to crush bone. Unlike most birds, their eyes are fixed in their sockets, so they must turn their heads to look around.
