- The Greater Grison is one of the few mustelids found as far south as northern Argentina and as far north as southern Mexico.
- Greater Grisons can emit a strong musky odor from their anal glands as a defense mechanism. They are excellent swimmers, often hunting aquatic prey. Despite their ferocity, they are seldom seen in the wild due to their secretive habits.
