- Despite their large size, greater kudus are remarkably silent and elusive, often going unnoticed even in relatively open habitats.
- Male greater kudus have some of the longest horns among antelopes, with up to 2.5 spirals. Their vertical white stripes provide excellent camouflage in dense bush. Kudus can survive long periods without drinking water, extracting moisture from leaves and fruits.
