- Unlike most dog breeds, Greyhounds have very little body fat, which makes them especially sensitive to extreme temperatures.
- Greyhounds have been depicted in ancient Egyptian art dating back over 4,000 years. They are known for their 'double suspension gallop' running style, which allows all four feet to be off the ground simultaneously. Despite their athletic build, they are often called 'couch potatoes' due to their calm and laid-back demeanor indoors.
