- Hawksbill Sea Turtles can nest as many as six times in a single season, laying up to 200 eggs per nest.
- Hawksbill turtles are among the few animals that can eat toxic sponges, which makes up the majority of their diet. Their beautifully patterned shells, known as 'tortoiseshell,' have made them a target for illegal trade for centuries. Unlike other sea turtles, hawksbills are agile and can navigate complex coral structures with ease.
