- The Hercules beetle has the longest body length of any living beetle species, with some males reaching up to 17 centimeters including their horns.
- Male Hercules beetles use their large horns to battle rivals for mates. The beetle's strength allows it to carry objects up to 850 times its own body weight. Their colors can change depending on humidity due to the structure of their elytra.
