- Unlike most bats, the Honduran white bat's colonies almost always consist of just one male and several females, forming a small, close-knit social group.
- Honduran white bats use their teeth to carefully cut the veins of large leaves, causing the leaves to droop and form natural tents. Their white fur helps reflect sunlight, keeping them cool and camouflaged by the dappled light under the canopy.
