Did you know?
- The Humboldt squid is sometimes called the 'red devil' due to its aggressive behavior and the deep red color it displays when excited or threatened.
- Humboldt squid make daily vertical migrations of several hundred metres, spending days in water so low in oxygen that most fish cannot survive there, effectively using it as a refuge.
