- Despite their armored appearance, Indian Pangolins are excellent swimmers and can cross small rivers when needed.
- Indian Pangolins have no teeth and rely on small stones in their stomachs to help grind up their insect prey. They are one of the few mammals wholly covered in scales. They play a key role in controlling insect populations in their ecosystems.
