- Despite being invertebrates, King Ragworms have a primitive but effective circulatory system with a series of blood vessels and a closed system, similar to more complex animals.
- King Ragworms have a remarkable regenerative ability, capable of regrowing lost segments. Their jaws are so strong they can deliver a painful bite, even to humans. These worms are prized as fishing bait due to their size and wriggling movements.
