- Kinkajous can rotate their feet backwards, allowing them to run easily in either direction along branches and climb down trees head-first.
- Kinkajous have a long, extensible tongue that can reach up to 12 centimeters, perfect for extracting nectar and honey from deep within flowers and beehives. They are one of the few carnivores that are highly frugivorous, with fruit making up the majority of their diet. Despite their cute appearance, they can emit high-pitched screams and have sharp teeth for defense.
