- Despite their leaf-like appearance, leaf insects can sometimes change their shade of green or brown depending on their environment and age.
- Leaf insects can regenerate lost legs during their molts. Some species exhibit parthenogenesis, meaning females can produce offspring without mating. Their eggs often resemble plant seeds for added camouflage.
