- Despite being called the Lemur Leaf Frog, it is not related to lemurs; the name refers to its eye and face shape.
- The Lemur Leaf Frog gets its name from its large eyes and facial expression, which are reminiscent of a lemur. Unlike many frogs, it spends little time in water except during breeding. Its unique ability to change color helps it blend into both foliage and tree bark.
