- Leopard Geckos have movable eyelids, a rare feature among geckos that allows them to blink and close their eyes while sleeping.
- Leopard Geckos can shed their tails as a defense mechanism and regrow them over time. They lack sticky toe pads, so they stay on the ground. Their vocalizations include chirps and squeaks, especially during mating or distress.
