- Ligers are sterile in most cases, which means they cannot reproduce naturally.
- Ligers can grow up to 3.6 meters (12 feet) in length, making them the largest of all big cats. Unlike tigers, many ligers enjoy swimming, a trait they inherit from their tiger ancestry. Ligers often exhibit a muted mane and faint stripes, reflecting their hybrid nature.
