- Despite their small size, lined shore crabs can climb vertical rock faces using the tiny, hooked hairs on their legs.
- Lined shore crabs are highly territorial and will often raise their claws in a defensive display to ward off rivals. They are able to survive both underwater and in air for extended periods, thanks to their specialized gill chambers. These crabs are known for their agility and speed, making them difficult for predators to catch.
