- Despite its fierce appearance, the Long-nosed Horned Frog spends most of its life hidden and is rarely seen by humans in the wild.
- The Long-nosed Horned Frog's 'horns' are actually skin extensions that help it blend seamlessly into the forest floor. Its call, which resembles a loud 'quack,' is often heard during the rainy season. When threatened, it remains motionless, relying entirely on its camouflage to avoid detection.
