Lumpfish
Cyclopterus lumpus

Did you know?
- Lumpfish are increasingly being used in aquaculture as 'cleaner fish' to control sea lice in salmon farms.
- Lumpfish use their modified pelvic fins as a suction disc to attach to rocks and resist strong currents. Their bodies are covered in wart-like tubercles instead of scales. During breeding, males guard the eggs and fan them to keep them oxygenated.
