- Male Magnificent Riflebirds perform highly choreographed displays, including intricate wing movements and vocalizations, to impress potential mates. Their name comes from the resemblance of the male's call to the sound of a rifle shot. The species is sexually dimorphic, with males being much more colorful than females.
