- Despite living in the ocean, Marine Otters never venture far from shore, often staying within 30 meters of the coastline.
- Marine Otters are the only otter species that live almost exclusively in marine environments. They are known for their playful behavior, often seen sliding down wet rocks or wrestling with one another. Unlike sea otters, they do not use tools to open shellfish.
